This Saturday, we're proposing you give back to the wonderful efforts of our unsung heroes and participate in a Kuching Waterfront Clean-up Initiative!

Here's a sneak preview of what's different onboard the Sarawak River Cruise this Saturday, the 4th of DECEMBER!

Now usually.. what happens every evening if you happy peeps in Kuching don't already know.. a sunset cruise takes sail from the Kuching Waterfront jetty.

Passengers embark on a picturesque cruise taking in the cool river breeze and a captivating sunset alongside Malay villages set back2back (pun most definitely intended) along the banks of the Sarawak River (mind you, a beer in hand at this point of time is most enjoyable).

Something is going to happen.. ONE-OFF; FIRST OF ITS KIND!!

Word on the street is that there's gonna be a JUNKYARD SALE.. also known as a JUMBLE SALE a.k.a. a RUMMAGE SALE ie. a GARAGE SALE onboard the ship and ADMISSION IS FREE!

Also a little birdie told us (amidst consuming his birdseed bribe..) that beer lovers will enjoy HAPPY HOUR prices ALL DAY LONG!!

Look out for more updates as the day draws closer!

Til then, we shall say no more.

Our lips are sealed..although persuasion through bribery is highly encouraged.

The FINAL DRIVE!

The saying usually goes, "Leave the best for last." 

And may we say, due to the humble and thoughtful generosity that was once again apparent in the hearts of our loyal back2backers -- that's exactly what it was. 

Another generous, productive and versatile all-rounder donation day was had in terms of collection - a final collection which saw the donation of stuff like unused computers, top-conditioned printers, a wide array of toys, fashionable clothes, household novelties that could tickle your current home-deco tendencies and a good mix of old school and new electro-gadgets to boot for all the gadget freaks out there.

..And so it begs the question: where do we actually go from here? After all the generous contributions from everyone involved, where does it all go?

Well, patience is a virtue, they say.. And the back2back team reckons now's a good time as any to be virtually patient..

But rest assured, after weeks of collection and anticipation, all we've done is nothing but a preparation for a 'big bang' that will blow your sails - pardon the out of place pun, but believe us when we say that you'll get the pun in due time ;-)

All good things come to an end. 

Fortunately, like the end of all great movies, the ending merely acts as a stepping stone to the start of a far more extraordinary sequel, which in our case... we are not currently at liberty to reveal ;-)

The good and bad news is, however, is that back2back will be holding its FINAL Collection Drive TOMORROW.. same time, same place, same people -- but of course, different things!

As per the awesomeness of last week, we will be open for drop-offs of your "used" or "unused" stuff, novelty items, books, clothes and whatever that's worth whatever.

Clothe the unclothed; educate the uneducated; furnish the unfurnished and do assist us in providing a better life to the needy.

Boy Creative

Judge not by his baby-boy face.. this superhero packs a mean punch!

Driven by his ADHD compulsions which gives him the ability to see visions that lay below the surface and his cocksure arrogance which inspires psychologically manic ideas and ambitions; Boy Creative's powers are justified by his ability to instantly brainstorm solutions in the heat of the moment, especially under duress.

The official launching of Cast-off Your Cast-offs "Saturday Junk Drop-offs" received exactly the kind of response we were expecting yesterday -- that is, that of pure, total & utter awesomeness.

We have proudly inherited from a group of kind-hearted souls a range of men's shoes from Aldo, Ferragamo, Mark & Spencer, a few Fisher-Price children's toys, a variation of educational books & magazines, branded men's & women's apparels, a somewhat vintage Canon E05 Analog camera, a few very much usable furnitures... along with a host of other items of value.

The back2back team would like to take this opportunity to thank all of its contributors for the support and donation they have offered -- you know who you are. We are forever indebted to you for your humility & willingness to make a difference... which will undoubtedly make the world a better place to live in.

As per planned, the 2nd drop-off session will be NEXT SATURDAY on the 20th of November 2010. We patiently await your kind generosity.

Raised by a community of fireflies from Kuala Selangor who migrated to the banks of the Sarawak River, PR Prowess must have gone through the ritual of kissing a fish during her full moon celebration.

Blessed with the gift of golden gab, she sashays her way through the crowd, confident and sultry. She gives her clients what they want and gives it to them straight. No beating around the bush here.

Sexy beats and deep bass sounds are her music of preference sprinkled with a touch of bossanova elegance.

Dining options include anything served with silver cutlery and paired with a glass of still water.

Manic Marketing

Inspired by the Beatles' song "Lucy in the sky with diamonds", Manic Marketing believes that everything should be anything but normal. Over-the-top, original and bursting with energy, although levels may be toned down whenever necessary; never expect the norm from Miss MM. In her free time, she dabbles in free-form art; spreading colour and textures anywhere and on anything possible to the beats of Indie and Electronica music (they engulf her in a sense of euphoria that make her creative juices "spilleth over").

The Operations Oracle

As the name may suggest, Big-O here was in line for auditions of the new Matrix Movie: Red Pill, Blue Pill as none other than the Oracle him(her/it)self.

One evening, while cleaning the microwave, with his burrito still heating inside, a flash of light and force so great that it could rattle your wisdom teeth threw Mr.O against the kitchen wall. Barely alive and panting he grabbed a wet kitchen cloth to save his beautiful locks; but fate as it seems, had bigger plans.

Unhurt but definitely bald, Mr.O's noggin developed a sheen so bright it could blind a koala bear!

It became suddenly an ultimate mission to arrange the dinnerware, clean the house, wash the car.. the blast had ultimately given Mr.O absolute OCD tendancies.

b2b found this talented individual and allocated him the task of managing our Operations because you can never plan enough! Excited like a kitty with catnip, Mr. O set to work and has become the BEST Operations Manager we have ever seen, and we have seen some BAD Operations Managers mind you..

  

By our powers combined, we are "thE Unstoppable PHoton fORce of medIA" or "EUPHORIA" for short ready to hit you with kick-ass campaigns, do-or-die events, laser-blasting ideas and all in time to save the world and have coffee at 4pm at Bing.
